Scent — made in the back
All scent is made-to-order in the back room of the shop. Soy and rapeseed wax, cotton wicks, fragrance from a small house in Grasse and a handful of French essential oils. Cured for two weeks. Poured into amber glass we’ll happily refill.
I blend this one in the back room. Green fig leaf at the top, then the heart goes warm — dry woodsmoke, a thread of cade, a little black tea. Soy and rapeseed wax, cotton wick, amber glass we reuse if you bring it back. Cured for two weeks before it ships.
How they’re made
Each scent starts on paper — a list of three or four notes I want to live with for a season. I work them up on blotters first, then make a small test pour, let it cure, burn it for an evening, change one thing, do it again. Most ideas don’t survive. The ones that do get a name and a small run.
Because they’re made-to-order, allow about two weeks from order to ship. If you want something specific — a custom blend for a hotel, a wedding favour, a private fragrance for a room you can’t stop thinking about — that’s what the contact page is for.
